Kilkenny man 'shocked' to win Clooney-lookalike competition
A Kilkenny man who fought off competition from 782 other contestants to win a George Clooney lookalike competition has said he is as shocked as everyone else that he won.
Twenty-seven-year-old David Glendon has made international headlines since he scooped the top prize of once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Oscars.
The competition was organised by Dylan's Whiskey Bar.
Although David may not look exactly like Mr Clooney, the two do have one thing in common - both have been bitten by the acting bug.
"I'm doing a production with a Firebird Theatre Group in Kilkenny, which I helped found," he said.
