Popstars like Rihanna, Westlife and Kylie all graced the stage of the Dockland's venue, which drew in more than 670,000 customers in 2011.

That compares to New York's Madison Square Gardens, which clocked up less than 620,000 visitors - securing eighth place on the list.

The world's most visited music venue last year was London's O2 Arena, where a whopping 1.9 million people attended concerts.
