Gervais too meek at Globes?

Ricky Gervais put in a muted performance hosting this year's Golden Globes, compared to the previous two outings.

The comic, who was branded “tasteless, bordering on nasty” and “corrosive” after his sharp-tongued performance last year, set the tone by insulting the whole ceremony.
