Adele lined up for Brit Awards comeback

Adele looks set to make her UK live comeback at the Brit Awards, three months after surgery to cure a voice-threatening condition.

The star underwent an operation in the US in early November after being diagnosed with a vocal cord haemorrhage which could have wrecked her singing voice forever.

But she has now been lined up to perform at next month’s awards bash which takes place at London's O2 Arena.

It marks a return to the event which kick-started her career, following last year’s show-stopping performance of 'Someone Like You'.

Last month Adele told her fans she is “on the mend” following laser microsurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

The record-breaking star – who sold 3.7 million copies of her album 21 in 2011 - was forced to cancel a string of live shows due to her throat problems.

She had earlier complained of her voice just “switching off”, a problem which caused concern for many months.

It is not clear whether the Brits performance on February 21 will be her overall comeback.

She is among the nominees for the high-profile Grammy Awards a week earlier, in the running for six prizes, but has not been named in the first batch of performers at that bash.
