Cowell hoping for better 2012
Simon Cowell is hoping 2012 is better than last year, after his relationship broke up and the US 'X Factor' fizzled.
The 52-year-old music mogul saw his new show, the US ‘X Factor’, fail to do as well as hoped in the ratings and his relationship with make-up artist fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy flounder in 2011 but he is hoping he can use the new year to turn things around.
A source told Britain’s Star magazine: “Simon was pretty fed up at the end of the year as 2011 didn’t exactly go to plan.
“He’s hoping he can sort things out professionally and personally before the new year gets into full swing.
“His relationship with Mezhgan is at crisis point and Simon has been working flat-out on the American ‘X Factor’. All in all, it’s been a pretty stressful year.
“He pretty much decided to scrap Christmas, so he’s looking forward to getting back on track this year.”
Despite his setbacks, Simon is looking to the future and already has ideas for new ways to channel his ambitions and ideas.
The source added: “It’s fair to say last year didn’t go to plan and he’s more than ready to put the past behind him and start working on new projects.”
