Westlife's Feehily and fiancé end seven-year relationship
Westlife's Mark Feehily has split from his fiancé.
The 'Lighthouse' singer - who had been due to marry Kevin McDaid later this year after almost seven years of dating - took to his twitter account on New Year's Eve to announce the news although it is believed the couple ended their relationship some time before.
Mark wrote on twitter: "Sadly,Kevin & I are no longer together. We've had an amazin 7yrs &are both so thankful for the love&support u have shown us from the start. we won't be answering any questions about this as its a very private matter. Thanks in advance for understanding that.Lots of love,Mx (sic)."
Mark, 31 and 27-year-old Kevin met at the Childline charity concert in Dublin in 2005 when Kevin - who is now a photographer - was performing with his band V and confirmed their relationship when Mark revealed his sexuality in 2007.
Speaking recently about their wedding plans, Mark revealed he couldn't wait to tie the knot.
He said: "We're best friends and we live together and we're going to get married soon. I can't wait, but we haven't finalised the date."
"It will definitely be in 2012. We want to do it as soon as we possibly can, but we want it to be right as well. It's finding the time and doing it right. We've no reason to rush it or say, 'let's just f***ing pick any church or hotel or venue in the country'.
"We've been so committed to Westlife that while we've had big gaps when we're not working, you have to plan so far in advance for a wedding. So you really don't have time to plan. We've pretty much got the time to be getting on with the wedding now."
