Little Mix pip Saw Doctors for Christmas number one spot

'X Factor' winners Little Mix have pipped The Saw Doctors to Irish Christmas Number One spot, despite the Irish band making it to number one on iTunes chart.

The video for the Tuam rockers' hit 'Downtown', featuring Petula Clarke, was filmed in Galway City.

Manager Ollie Jennings told iRADIO the band are thrilled with getting number one on iTunes.

"The first five in the charts are all controlled by Simon Cowell and at number two is 'Downtown' by The Saw Doctors, issued by Shamtown Records label out of Galway," he said.

"It’s a fantastic achievement."
