Price and Andre plan to rebuild relationship for kids' sake

Peter Andre and Katie Price are planning to spend more time together for the sake of their kids.

The couple divorced in 2009 but are now planning to put their differences behind them and rebuild their relationship for the sake of their children Junior, six, and Princess Tiaamii, four and Harvey, who is Katie's son from a previous relationship but Peter acts as his stepfather.

A family friend told The Sun newspaper: "They're ready to move forward together and have discussed being seen in public again. It'll be day trips with the children - working things out generally and taking those important steps to improve the relationship.

"It's not romantic - but they know there'll be speculation."

The couple have taken steps to rebuild their relationship recently, with Katie admitting in court she had made false claims about Peter having an affair with his marriage, and sending him good luck messages ahead of his appearance on TV show 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here'.

Peter has recently said: "My ex, Kate, said on TV show 'Loose Women' that I was the only partner she's ever had who's bought her presents. It's really nice that she said that about me. We did have some really good times together and we are talking at the moment and trying to be friends."

Peter is also looking forward to having the children they raise on Christmas day.

He added: "I'm hoping to have all three kids on Christmas Day this year as it's my turn. I'll hopefully be spending New Year with them, too, and I'd love to take them away for a few days."

Since their marriage, Katie remarried cage fighter Alex Reid, but their union ended after less than a year. She was also linked to Argentine model Leandro Penna earlier this year.
