A film produced by an Irish production company has received three Golden Globe nominations today.

'Albert Nobbs', produced by Alan Moloney's Irish production company Parallel Films, was nominated in the Best Actress category for Glenn Close. Close co-wrote the film with writer John Banville.

In the filem, Close dresses up as a butler in order to work and survive in 19th century Ireland.

Janet McTeer was nominated in the Best Supporting Actress category for her work in the film, while 'Lay Your Head Down', co-written by Irish musician Brian Byrne and sung by Sinead O’Connor, was nomonated for Best Song.
