Irish actors Brendan Gleeson and Michael Fassbender have both received nominations for the 69th annual Golden Globe awards.

Irish actors Brendan Gleeson and Michael Fassbender are both up for awards as the 69th annual Golden Globe award nominations were announced this afternoon.

The Irish co-production 'Albert Nobbs' received a number of nominations including Best Song for 'Lay Your Head Down', co-written by Irish musician Brian Byrne and sung by Sinead O’Connor.
