Sinéad O'Connor got married in a pink Cadillac in Las Vegas yesterday.
The 'Nothing Compares 2 U' singer – who has previously been wed three times – tied the knot on her 45th birthday with Dubliner Barry Herridge in a drive-through wedding at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Irish singer wore a pink, low-cut dress which revealed her tattoos, while the groom donned a dark jacket and pink shirt for the 10-minute ceremony.
A source told People magazine: "She wanted to do the whole thing in a Cadillac. That was her thing.
"It wasn't a traditional dress, but it wasn't a traditional wedding either. She cried during the vows and had to wipe her eyes."
O'Connor revealed her wedding plans on Wednesday, writing on her blog: "With enormous joy myself and my beloved boyfriend Barry Herridge will be getting married tomorrow, December 8th 2011 at 'an un-disclosed location' in my absolute dream wedding ceremony. We will post a photo or two here on the site as soon as possible afterward. Very happy girl."
O'Connor has four children from previous relationships and has already been married to music producer John Reynolds in 1989, journalist Nicholas Sommerlad in 2001 and long-time friend and collaborator Steve Cooney in July 2010.
