Tulisa Contostavlos has vowed to “change X Factor history” and make girl group Little Mix the first band to win the show.

The three final acts will be joined by stars including Coldplay, Leona Lewis and One Direction this weekend as the show comes to a climax.

They will also perform duets with their mentors with Tulisa promising to become a “member of Little Mix” on the night.

She said: “A group has never won this competition, especially not a girl group even getting this far in the competition.

“I’m the youngest judge, it’s my first year and I want to change X Factor history with these little muffins behind me”.

Viewers will see Kelly Rowland duet with Amelia Lily, while Gary Barlow promised an “emotional evening” when he joins Marcus Collins to perform the Billy Joel song Always a Woman.

He said the three finalists were the ones who “had grown the most” throughout the competition.

He said: “I think they have all moved on incredibly well through the competition and that’s why they are here now”.

Dermot O’Leary, the host of the hit ITV1 show, said it was impossible to pick a winner.

He said: “It’s my first year when we’re going into the final and we don’t really know who the favourite is.”
