Rising star Del Rey shortlisted for MTV award

Singer Lana del Rey is among the acts shortlisted to MTV’s annual Brand New award honouring the newcomers most likely to make it big in the coming year.

The US star, who charted with single 'Video Games' in October, is one of nine acts to have made the grade.
