'X Factor' star Marcus planning ahead

'X Factor' finalist Marcus Collins said he is not taking success "for granted" but admitted he has already planned what songs he will sing in the show's remaining episodes.

The Liverpudlian singer said he was missing his closest friend on the show, fellow scouser Craig Colton, after he was voted off last weekend.

He said: "I've been missing my roommate this week. It's been tough but we've been so busy it's been really difficult to stop for a minute and realise what's going on, but it's not the same without him."

Collins, who has received rave reviews from the judges on the hit ITV1 show, said he was already thinking ahead about his performance.

He said: "I'm trying not to take it for granted but I'm very practical so I've got songs in mind for next week if I'm here and I've discussed it with Gary and he's happy as well so we'll see what happens."

Collins, who was recently pictured on a West End shopping spree, said he was getting used to the attention of the press.

He said: "I've had a little taste of the celebrity lifestyle in that paparazzi follow us everywhere and make it quite difficult to do some things but it's nice to see people are interested in the way we sing and because of the show."
