Carr wants to write TV series

The 35-year-old TV star Alan Carr – who is best known for his TV show 'Chatty Man' – explained while he would love to script a "cracking" show, he is "too scared" to get down to it.

He said: "I'd love to write a cracking drama like 'Six Feet Under' or 'The West Wing' but I'm like one of those people who wants to be a painter but is too scared because they don't think they're good enough."

Alan admitted he has enjoyed most of the guests who have sat on the sofa on his TV chat show, in particular Grace Jones and Rihanna.

He added in an interview with Attitude magazine: "Who has been my favourite guest? Rihanna. She was fun and didn't have a list as long as her arm of things you can't talk about.

"Grace Jones was fabulous too, I asked her about the rumour that all she survived on in the 80s was cocaine and oysters and she said, 'Yes darling.'

"My biggest nightmare are some of the younger Americans who've been media trained to death. I'd rather have someone like Courtney Love. She came on a little bit tipsy and told all her secrets and the audience really warmed to her."
