Television presenter Caroline Flack has said she does not “deserve death threats” after angry One Direction fans attacked her online for reportedly dating singer Harry Styles.

The 31-year-old, who presents 'X factor' spin-off show 'The Xtra Factor' with Olly Murs, was pictured with the teenage star on a night out in London earlier this week.

Harry, 17, shot to fame last year when boyband One Direction came third on the 'The X Factor'.

One Twitter user, called 1DsMandem wrote Flack “should be having kids not dating them”, while another threatened to “hunt her down and shoot her”.

Flack took to the microblogging site in her own defence, writing: “Hi one direction fans! To clarify. I’m close friends with harry. He’s one of the nicest people I know... I don’t deserve death threats. :) x.”
