Simon Cowell has boasted that he is more popular than his fellow US X Factor judges after joining Twitter.

The music mogul racked up more than 150,000 followers in just 10 hours.

He quickly took to the social networking site to start bragging to judges Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and LA Reid that he was winning in the popularity stakes.
