Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman is to take home a new prize – a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced today that the actor will receive the group’s Cecil B DeMille Award at the 69th annual Globes ceremony on January 15.
