'Ugly Betty' hoping for big-screen adaptation

America Ferrera has said she would love to make an 'Ugly Betty' movie.

The 27-year-old actress starred as unlikely fashion PA Betty Suarez in the hit ABC show for four years until it finished last year, and there have been rumours of a follow-up film.

America told This Morning: “It’s so wonderful that the fans care so much that this question about the movie just keeps coming up.

“It’s not anything that’s actually in the works but is something that’s always a possibility, and it’s wonderful to know that the fans want it.”

America has made her West End debut in 'Chicago' as Roxie Hart.
