Adele undergoes throat op

Adele has undergone a throat operation to treat a condition that has caused her to cancel her tour dates.

The 'Someone Like You' hitmaker – who was forced to cancel all her remaining concert dates for 2011 after suffering a vocal chord haemorrhage – had the operation in the US in Massachusetts to stop recurrent bleeding and prevent possible rupture from a benign polyp.
