'Exhausted' Rihanna cancels concert in Sweden

Rihanna was forced to cancel a show in the Swedish city of Malmo at the last minute last night after falling ill, organisers said.

Live Nation spokesman Kristofer Akesson said the pop star did not feel well yesterday and tour organisers contacted a doctor who concluded she was suffering from severe exhaustion and “was not capable of carrying out the concert”.

The singer apologised to fans on Twitter and posted a picture of her arm attached to an intravenous drip.

Mr Akesson said Rihanna is now in Stockholm and he expects her to perform there as scheduled tonight.

Organisers are trying to sort out a new date for the show in Malmo.
