Lohan's dad 'attacked girlfriend'

The estranged father of 'Mean Girls' actress Lindsay Lohan made his first appearance in court on domestic violence charges.

Michael Lohan, 51, walked out of the jail in Tampa, Florida, yesterday. Bail had been set at $5,000.

He told reporters outside that he “didn’t do anything” and this was his girlfriend’s way of making money.

Lohan is accused of grabbing his on-off girlfriend, 28-year-old Kate Major, and pushing her down several times during an argument at her Tampa condominium on Sunday. The judge told Lohan to stay away from Ms Major.

Authorities say Lohan went to Ms Major’s home and she decided to let him stay, even though she had a temporary domestic violence injunction against him in Sarasota County.
