'Heartbreak' singer Ellis Bextor expecting third child

Sophie Ellis Bextor is pregnant with her third child.

The 32-year-old singer – who already has two children, Sonny, seven and Kit, two, with her husband, The Feeling bassist Richard Jones – announced her happy news via her twitter page and the baby is due in spring 2012 and she is "excited" to be enlarging her family.

She tweeted: "I have something to tell you … I am having another baby. Due in Spring. A little brother or sister for Sonny and Kit. Family e-b-jones are happy and excited. Xx (sic)"

The 'Heartbreak (Make me a Dancer)' hitmaker quickly thanked her fans and well-wishers for their support, and revealed she was continuing to work on a follow-up to her latest album 'Make A Scene'.

She wrote: "Thanks guys. It's a lovely thing. By the way, work on album 5 continues as usual. In fact, I now have a deadline! In the studio as we speak."

Sophie – who has been through two difficult pregnancies in the past – has previously said she is keen to have more children, but only when her friends have begun having them.

She joked: "I'd like to have another child but none of my friends have kids, so I'll wait until they catch up!"
