Hasslehoff camapigning for BGT return

David Hasslehoff would "love" to return to 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The former 'Baywatch' hunk - who is rumoured to have been axed from his judging role on the ITV1 series by show boss Simon Cowell - explained while he "absolutely" wants to return to the programme, he hasn't been contacted by the 52-year-old music mogul to confirm his place on the panel.

Speaking at the launch of Clintons Celebrity Fastcard at London's No5 Cavendish Square venue last night, Hasselhoff said: "I wish I could tell you that I'm coming back to 'Britain's Got Talent'. Call Simon Cowell! I absolutely want to come back though.

"I haven't actually spoken to Simon about it, he's off running around and I'm off running around.

"I've chatted to his right hand man and he's said, 'Seriously I have no idea what's going on'. So I don't sweat it. I would love to go back though, it was a lot of fun."

The 59-year-old star - who was joined on the 'BGT' panel by Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre - recently claimed he expected his role to be confirmed in a "last minute negotiation", but he is determined to return to the talent show now he has finally learned to distinguish between all the different British accents.

David said: "It's always kind of a last thing negotiation but I loved it, man, it was great. I really got to put a face behind the people who watch my show and it was a lot of fun. Now that I know the accents and I know where I'm going obviously I'm going to come back."

David was celebrating the forthcoming launch of Clintons Celebrity Fastcard - a new range of personal celebrity video greeting cards, with messages that can be sent direct to an email or mobile phone - in the UK on October 24.
