There are reports that France's First Lady Carla Bruni could be in labour.

Huge crowds of reporters and onlookers have gathered in the streets outside a Paris maternity clinic after reports that Carla Bruni-Sarkozy is about to give birth.

According to reports, President Nicolas Sarkozy's 43-year-old wife is already inside the highly secured La Muette clinic, expecting an imminent delivery.

It is reported that her husband President Sarkozy recently arrived at the hospital.
