Smashing Pumpkins in studio for first time in four years

Smashing Pumpkins are recording their first album since 2007.

The grunge band - whose only remaining original member is singer and guitarist Billy Corgan – have been releasing single tracks through the internet as part of a planned 44 song project, 'Teargarden by Kaleidyscope', but before even getting halfway, they have re-evaluated and decided to record an album in the standard way.
