'X Factor' contestant quits for fear of being turned into 'joke'

‘X Factor’ favourite Goldie Cheung has quit the show.

The wacky 49-year-old was a hit with judges in last night’s Boot Camp episode, in which she performed a rendition of Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ but has become the first person ever to pull out after making it to the live stages of the show, reportedly because she feared being turned into a “joke”.
