Corrie viewers to see Carla attempt suicide

Coronation Street's Carla Connor is to attempt suicide.

The Weatherfield entrepreneur – who is played by Alison King – will take an overdose of sleeping pills in a bid to end it all after being raped by her evil fiance Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel) and then being subjected to a tirade of abuse from Leanne Barlow (Jane Danson), who thinks she's having an affair with her husband Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).
