Holden 'achy' after car crash but baby fine

Pregnant Amanda Holden told today how her baby was “perfect” and unaffected by the crash which left her car a write-off.

The 'Britain’s Got Talent' judge, who was in a collision with a lorry in west London yesterday on the school run, said her own health was fine – but she is still “achy” and in shock.

And she joked that her husband Chris Hughes was considering buying a tank for future road trips.

Holden, 40, was heading to collect daughter Lexi, five, yesterday afternoon. Following the crash, she was taken to hospital for a check-up by a passing “Good Samaritan”.

She reassured fans that all was well today with a message on Twitter.

“Don’t worry. Baby is perfect. I am ok – achy and shocked. Car totalled,” Holden said.

And she posted a link to a picture of a military tank saying record producer Hughes had “put a deposit down” on it.

Holden pulled out of last night’s performance of West End hit 'Shrek The Musical' - in which she plays Princess Fiona.

She announced a fortnight ago that she was pregnant. She lost a baby earlier this year seven months into the pregnancy.

The actress and presenter also went through the ordeal of a miscarriage the previous year.
