Neil Diamond has announced that he is engaged to be married for the third time.

The 'Sweet Caroline' crooner announced the news on Twitter, saying "Good news coming from sunny LA, Katie and I just got engaged".

The 70-year-old also posted a photo of his blonde fiancee saying: "I'd like you to meet Katie. I'm lovestruck.".
