Corden and Jones reunited for new sitcom
James Corden is to be reunited with Ruth Jones in a new Welsh sitcom.
The 'Gavin and Stacey' co-stars – who co-wrote the hugely successful BBC sitcom – will appear in the new Sky1 series 'Stella', which tells the story of a woman living in the Valleys of Wales.
While Jones – who played the outrageous Nessa in the comedy – will be the main star, Corden – who portrayed Nessa's on/off partner Smithy – will only make a cameo appearance.
Jones – who penned the show with husband David Peet - will play Stella, a hard-done-by woman who runs an ironing business in a bid to earn more money.
Peet told the Western Mail newspaper: "She has a son in jail and two other children and is a lioness of a mother - really protective of her kids.
"She has no company in her life, her car doesn't go very well and there's a couple living opposite with a horse outside their home - it's very true to life."
Speaking about Corden's role, Peet added: "Ruth and James know each other so it probably came from that. James kindly agreed to do it.
"Both have their own projects but they hooked up for the day."
