'Millionaire' slot for Corrie stars
'Coronation Street' stars William Roache and Michelle Collins are to team up to take part in 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' soap specials.
Real-life couple Kym Marsh and Jamie Lomas will also appear in the pair of programmes later this month.
Collins – who plays barmaid Stella Price – and Roache, the Street’s longest-serving resident Ken Barlow, will feature in the first live special on ITV1 on August 20.
Another show the following evening, hosted as ever by Chris Tarrant, will feature Corrie star Marsh and fiance Lomas, known for his role in Channel 4’s 'Hollyoaks'.
Each of the celebrities will be trying to win money for their chosen charity and a viewer at home.
Other duos starring in the special editions will be 'Emmerdale' star Mark Charnock and Dominic Brunt, the show’s Danny Miller and Lucy Pargeter, and 'Hollyoaks' stars Gemma Merna and Jennifer Metcalfe.
Miller said: “I’ve grown up watching Chris Tarrant on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' so getting into the hotseat is going to be very daunting.”
