McCall approves of BB successor Dowling
Davina McCall has given Brian Dowling her seal of approval.
The 43-year-old TV presenter – who fronted 'Big Brother' for 10 years on Channel 4 prior to handing over the reigns to the former reality show winner when the series re-launches on Channel 5 later this month – thinks the Irish star is "the right man for the job".
Brian explained: "Davina's given me her seal of approval. She thinks I'm the best man for the job. I owe all this to Davina. Thanks for resigning! Thank God she said no to the job."
However, the 33-year-old star – who won 'Big Brother' in 2001 and was crowned champion of 'Ultimate Big Brother' last year – admitted he is "s***ting it" about fronting such a high-profile show.
Brian added to new! magazine: "I keep thinking I'll have to take something to get me over the first show. This is nerves beyond anything I've ever done. I'm going to be s***ting it.
"But do you know what my biggest fear is? Saying, 'Hello Big Brother house, this is Davina. You're live on Channel 4'."
