Dafoe set for 'Pacific Rim' role

Willem Dafoe is in discussions to star in 'Pacific Rim'.

The 56-year-old 'Shadow of the Vampire' actor is in line for the role of a rogue scientist who is an expert in alien creatures for the project, set to be directed by Guillermo del Toro and co-starring Charlie Day, Charlie Hunman, Idris Elba and Max Martini.
