Over 100,000 people are expected in Waterford this weekend for the Spraoi International Street Arts Festival which begins today.

Attracting acts from Ireland, the UK, Germany, France, Catalonia, the US, and Belgium, the festival will run for three days with gigs running late into the night.

Highlights this year include the Spraoi Parade on Sunday which will feature hundreds of costumed performers and specially built floats.

Organisers say the programme of events is so varied and intensive that you simply couldn't see everything.
