LaBeouf joins Redford for political thriller

Shia LaBeouf is set to team up with Robert Redford for the political thriller 'The Company You Keep'.

The 'Transformers' star will play a young, ambitious reporter who goes on the chase for a former militant wanted by the FBI (Robert) after exposing him, reports Deadline.

Redford will do triple duty as leading man, co-producer and director, working from a script penned by Lem Dobbs and based on the novel by Neil Gordon.

“It is absolutely amazing to have Shia LaBeouf, arguably the brightest young star in Hollywood today paired with the global icon Robert Redford,” said producer Nicolas Chartier from Voltage Pictures.
