Katona drug tests negative

Kerry Katona’s drug tests have come back negative, her spokesman Max Clifford said today.

The reality TV star, 30, turned to Mr Clifford following reports that she had been dumped by her former manager Claire Powell after a six-hour drinking session.

Today Mr Clifford’s office released hair tests showing a negative result for drugs, including cocaine and cannabis.

Last month Katona denied reports that Ms Powell’s agency CAN Associates had ditched her.

She said: “It was my decision to leave, as on a professional level my career was taking a direction that I did not want, nor did I feel was appropriate.

“I have not taken any drugs in the last year and a half – and if anyone claims otherwise, I will sue without hesitation.”

The former Atomic Kitten previously had a urine test, which assesses a shorter time frame than a hair test.
