Barrymore set to return to director's chair
Drew Barrymore is set to direct 'The Heist Society'.
The 36-year-old actress – who made her filmmaking debut on 2009 sports movie 'Whip It' – is currently down to produce the movie, but is now said to be considering taking on a more high-profile role.
The project – written by Shauna Cross from a novel by Ally Carter – tells the tale of a teenage girl who is trying to her family's criminal life with her own high-school problems.
However, things get complicated when she is forced to put together a band of people to steal back an art collection her father is accused of taking.
It is not the only directorial project Barrymore has on the cards – she is also due to work on 'How to Be Single', which is due to shoot at around the same time.
Since 2010's 'Going the Distance', Drew has only shot one movie, the forthcoming 'Everybody Loves Whales'.
