Walsh 'no longer under investigation'
Louis Walsh is no longer under investigation by the gardaí following allegations of sexual assault in a Dublin nightclub, according to a statement from the pop mogul.
His comments follow allegations by a 24-year-old man, originally published in UK tabloid The Sun, that he was groped by the 'X Factor' judge in Krystle nightclub in Dublin's Russell Court Hotel on April 10.
Kiltimagh-born Mr Walsh, who strenuously denied the allegations from the outset, said gardaí had now confirmed that the matter has been dropped.
However, he said, "I remain outraged that this story ran in the first place in The Sun and I have instructed my libel lawyer to vigorously pursue legal action against the paper and they will also be
taking action in relation to a number of other equally serious related matters.
"I have no intention of letting this matter rest until I have received total and absolute vindication," Mr Walsh added.
"This has been a hugely distressing time for me but I would like to thank all my friends and colleagues for their support and I am now just looking forward to getting back to work."
