Clooney leaves girlfriend

Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has split from his long-time girlfriend.

The actor, who is currently filming in London, has confirmed he is no longer with Elisabetta Canalis.

In a statement the pair said "it's very difficult and very personal" and have asked for their privacy to be respected.
