Thompson focusing on career after split

Georgie Thompson wants to concentrate on her TV career following her split from Declan Donnelly.

The Sky Sports presenter split from the 'Britain's Got Talent' host in April after a two-year romance and while she hasn't ruled out a reunion, she wants to put all her focus on her work.

When asked if they could get back together, Georgie said: "I don't know. Who knows?

"At the moment, my focus is on work. To be honest, the reality is we're both grown-ups, and trying to be pretty mature about the whole thing."

However, Georgie, 32, admits the split from 35-year-old Dec was very hard to take.

She is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: "At the moment, the party line is that we're really good friends and really support each other. But it's been tough, it's really tough.

"It's a really hard thing to live out a painful break-up when you're in the public eye. It hurts but we have to be grown-up."

At the time of their break-up, the couple's spokesman said: "Nobody else was involved and they are both still good friends."

However, Dec's friends say he broke things off because he wasn't ready to settle down and have children.
