Festival reveals bog roll giveaway
Glastonbury Festival is kicking up a stink about the environment – by giving away more than 100,000 recycled toilet rolls.
Manufacturer Nouvelle will hand out the rolls as part of an overall recycling target of 60%.
Festival founder Michael Eavis said: “We’re encouraging people to be as green as possible at this year’s festival.”
People who cycle to the festival will have access to a special camping area and will also be offered discount vouchers at the food stalls.
A recycling barn will also be set up for festival-goers to drop off cans, bottles and packaging. A team of 80 volunteers will sort and separate it out for recycling.
The festival, featuring U2, Coldplay and Beyonce as headliners, begins next week.
