Coronation Street's Becky McDonald is to reclaim the Rovers Return pub.
The bolshie barmaid – played by Katherine Kelly – has been on a booze-filled bender after attacking love rival Tracy Barlow's (Kate Ford) house with a mallet, and decides to re-assume her place behind the bar – despite Stella Price (Michelle Collins) being the newly-appointed landlady.
Katherine explained: "As far as Becky's concerned, it's her pub. She's jealous of Stella running the place as it is. She wants to show Stella who's boss."
However, when Becky – whose marriage to hapless husband Steve (Simon Gregson) has been in ruins ever since the couple lost custody of their young nephew Max – decides to flirt with Stella's husband Karl (John Michie) to make Steve jealous, she gets much more than she was bargaining for.
Katherine added to Inside Soap magazine: "Becky has no idea that Karl is with Stella, but she's only doing it to wind up Steve anyway. You should hear some of the cheesy chat-up lines she uses!
"She's lying, of course. Becky can't bear the thought of being with anyone else right now – but by the time she comes clean to Steve, it's too late. When they finally meet up and Becky tells him she wants to get back together, Steve reveals he's after a divorce!"
