Lorraine Kelly claims she's been offered a part on 'Mad Men'.

The TV host has revealed one of the US show's stars, John Hamm, has asked her to appear in the series after she interviewed him following her recent weight loss.

Lorraine - who is now a size 10-12 - said: "It's really nice to go into a shop and buy 10 or 12. All those 'Mad Men' styles suit my shape. I actually had 'Mad Men' star Jon Hamm on the show and he offered me a part, which I'll take him up on.

"He told me I would have to speak in an American accent, which I did, and it shocked him."

While it remains to be seen whether Lorraine, 51, will make it big across the pond, she insists she's very happy with her career in the UK especially as her morning show 'Lorraine' has been nominated for Best Daytime Show at the TV Choice Awards.

She said: "I've won awards as a presenter, but for a show this is the first nomination. We were always lumped in with 'GMTV' but we are now a completely different show. We have our own identity, my own studio, my own team.

"It would be lovely to win. I'm having the best time I've ever had."
