Talent show nets 14 million viewers in the UK
Jai McDowall’s crowning moment was watched by a peak audience of 14.4 million in the UK last night.
The ITV1 live results show of 'Britain’s Got Talent' had 57% of television viewers at its height, at 14.1 million, and an extra 300,000 caught up on the ITV+1 channel.
An average of 12.5 million watched the half-hour programme between 9.30pm and 10pm – a 51% share – up on the 12.3 million who watched last year’s final show.
A peak audience of 14 million watched the contestants’ final performances in the earlier programme.
The ITV1 live broadcast had 13.4 million viewers, and another 600,000 watched on the ITV+1 channel.
An average of 11.4 million watched the performances from 7pm to 9pm, which was 49% of the TV audience.
