Report: Scorsese to make biopic of Burton/Taylor romance

The tempestuous romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton is to be made into a film by Martin Scorsese, according to reports.

Taylor, who died earlier this year aged 79, married eight times - twice to Burton.

The film is based on a book about the couple's relationship called "Furious Love".

Burton said the couple lived "on the edge of an exciting volcano".
