Cheryl Cole turned down double her original salary to appear on 'The X Factor'.

The 27-year-old singer - who was sensationally sacked from the US version of the show last week - rejected an offer of a whopping £2.8m salary from Simon Cowell, with the TV mogul reportedly prepared to "move heaven and earth" to accommodate the star.
