Former 'EastEnders' star Natalie Cassidy has left fiance Adam Cottrell, according to reports.
Natalie's dad Charles Cassidy has revealed the 28-year-old mum of one called time on her relationship with the transport manager - who was charged with two offences of beating and criminal damage - on Sunday, which caused him to lash out and smash a microwave.
Charles said: "Natalie had come here at the weekend. I don't know her fiancé very well because I don't see him often. She usually comes here by herself, and when I visit he is usually at work.
"Natalie and the baby came here, we spent Saturday together and had lunch.
"On Sunday she told him on the phone she wouldn't be going back and we heard this crash in the background. He'd put his fist through the microwave."
However, Charles admitted he is concerned how the assault allegations will affect the couple's seven-month-old daughter Eliza Beatrice.
He added to The Sun newspaper: "I'm just worried for Natalie and for my granddaughter. She's the most lovely baby - really happy. It's not the situation you want when there's a young child."
The couple had reportedly been arguing for a number of days before police arrested Adam - who is due to appear in court later this month - and Natalie is believed to have called off their £50,000 (€60,000) white wedding.
An insider said: "Natalie and Adam have had a bit of a fiery relationship for a few of weeks now. The row escalated before reaching a head on Sunday afternoon."
