Vin Diesel seems prepared for Riddick paycut

Vin Diesel must take a paycut to make a new 'Riddick' movie.

The 43-year-old action star is ready to start working on a third movie in the series – which would see him revisit the character he played in 'Pitch Black' and 'The Chronicles of Riddick' in 2000 and 2004 respectively – and though he insists he isn't worried about the cash, he is unsure whether to accept the offer and "venture to that dark place".

He revealed on his Facebook page: "Grrrrr. [David Twohy] the writer/director just landed in New York with the good news. We can start filming this summer. However, there is a catch...in order for us to make a true R-rated film, I must work for scale upfront.

"Not unlike the Find me Guilty experience (which I wouldn't have changed for the world). Money is always second to art, integrity and spirit...but the real issue is deeper. Can I suspend my life, to momentarily venture to that dark place...called Riddick. Now, I need to hear from Our collective...you.(sic)"

Despite his misgivings, the actor appeared to later suggest he planned to go ahead with the project.

He later added: "P.S. I am off to another meeting with David, the director of Riddick... to see concept art and discuss the potential schedule."
