Helen Flanagan "can't wait" to return to 'Coronation Street'.

The 20-year-old actress – who has played Rosie Webster on the soap for 12 years – recently took a three-month break from the show and while she has enjoyed her time off, she is looking forward to returning to work and seeing her friends.

Helen – who will next be seen on screen until July – said: "I've been in 'Corrie' since I was nine and I've never known any different. I just wanted a bit of time out and the bosses at work were very supportive. I'm really looking forward to going back though. I've missed it.

"I've missed my friends on set and I've missed Rosie. It'll be nice to come back with a new lease of life."

During her time away from the show, Helen has had her hair cropped and dyed blonde, and says her new look will be incorporated into her return storyline.

She told Reveal magazine: "I've always wanted to be blonde, so I'll be keeping it like this for a while. Of course work knew I was doing it.

"Rosie is a model, so when she comes back, she'll have a totally new image. It gives her a more edgy look."
